My Opinion
At this point, I think Canadian involvement in Afghanistan is a complete waste of time, money and energy. The majority of the war is over, yet Stephen Harper has still kept over a 1000 soldiers training the local army there. Including this waste of resources, the death count is continuing to rise while at the same time about 20 percent of the Afghan army training there is dropping out, most likely joining the Taliban. So in other terms, we are training and arming the very force we were trying to stop in the first place! In my opinion, I think we should be focusing on other important global affairs that won’t be a cause that will bite back down the road. Canadians have done there part, and as of now need to move on.
