Before we can move forward, education must be a high priority

This article discusses how a 14 year old girl named Alaina Podmoro, founded an organization called "Little Women" designed to increase women's rights in Afghanistan in regards to education in particular. Over the five years following the initial founding of the organization, more than $300,000 has been raised to fund the effort. Alaina strongly believes that education is the only way we can move towards peace. In my opinion, I think this is a valid point because without education, a nation grows ignorant to relevant issues and how to solve them. As education standards in Afghanistan increase, I think more efficient ways of problem solving will come out of it. In turn to this change, less global and esspcially Canadian involvement in Afghanistan should deminish.
